Community Programme

It’s not only employees and customers that are important to DIJL. We exemplify good corporate citizenship in our community, and have implemented programmes with our neighbours in the communities adjoining our operations and across the country.

We assist the Drews Avenue Primary and Infant School with nutritious products, and developing their infrastructure. We work with other schools and organizations in the area on activities that benefit Jamaica's children.

Since 1996 we have supported several sporting activities. DIJL has sponsored Waterhouse Football Club's participation in the National Premier League. The team won the championship in 1998, 2003, 2006, and has also won three Jackie Bell knockout titles. The company's sponsorship has so far totaled more than J$20 million. In 2003, DIJL, in cooperation with other corporate partners, raised funds to construct a mini-stadium at Drewsland, the team's home ground.

On April 23, 2014 Dairy Industries (Ja) Limited celebrated its 50th Anniversary. Here is our 50th Anniversary Feature.
